FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

01

What is DBT and who does it help?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on teaching people skills to cope with challenging situations, cope with emotions, and improve relationships.

DBT was originally designed to treat those with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), but has been proven in helping anyone navigate emotionally charged situations with more ease.

03

How long are sessions?

Sessions are typically 45 minutes, however, sessions may be longer depending on individual needs.

02

Do you take insurance?

We are out of network providers. While we do not participate with insurance plans directly, we can provide you with monthly receipts for reimbursement purposes. Many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits, which can partially or fully cover therapy costs. If you plan to seek reimbursement, we recommend you check with your insurance provider about your out-of-network benefits prior to starting therapy.

“No Surprises Act” / Good Faith Estimate: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. Click here to learn about your rights under this law.

04

How do I know if you're the right fit?

We offer free 10 minute consultations, which is a good opportunity to ask questions about our style and approach and how they will address your needs.   Get in touch.
